2020 Community Affairs Events Updated

The Community Affairs Committee has updated the remaining 2020 events that were scheduled.  Unfortunately, several events had to be canceled due to the current  state mandates in place due to Covid-19. 

The following events have been canceled:
  • Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser – September 12th  
  • Designer Bag Bingo Fundraiser – October 10th 
  • Senior Citizens Shady Maple Trip – October 12th
The following events have been revised to accommodate the current restrictions in place:
  • Fireworks – scheduled for Sunday September 6th at dusk. The Bristol Lord Field will be closed to viewing. Facebook live video of the fireworks will be available for viewing on the borough Facebook page Upland Borough DELCO PA
  • Youth Halloween Party – October 24th - Replaced with Halloween Parade throughout the Borough.  The Community Affairs Committee with the UPD and UFC will parade, some in costume, starting at 6:00 p.m. throughout the borough. Parents should have their children stand in front of their residence while practicing social distancing/wear masks if applicable. Treat bags will be handed out to borough children 13 years and younger with items from the Community Affairs Committee, UFC and UPD. 
  • Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Dinner – November 7th - Replaced with Take-out/Pick up Dinner from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. - no banquet indoor dining. Borough Seniors must sign up – deadline October 30th. Forms are available on website and borough office.  
  • Annual Holiday Celebration – November 27th Replaced with outdoor only event.  All borough residents are invited to join us for the "Annual Holiday Tree Lighting" to be held at Bristol Lord Field located at Castle Avenue and Main Streets at 6:00 p.m. Weather permitting, cookies and hot chocolate will be served outside. All participants must follow any mandates that may be in effect for social distancing and masks. To have a gift available for borough children 13 years or younger, parents/guardians must sign-up (form attached) their child.  Gifts must be picked at this event. The completed forms must be dropped off to the Municipal Building Office no later than Friday, November 6th, 2020.

Should mandates change, the above events may be adjusted accordingly.
